REUT IS A DESIGN HOUSE AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE ARTS AND MATERIALS SCIENCES, BRINGING NEW COLORS TO UNEXPECTED APPLICATIONS THROUGH REVOLUTIONARY TECHNOLOGY AND RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION.
ORIGIN
Founded by creative director Reut Ringel, the New York-based label launched in 2020, thoughtfully reimagining subtle designs in new colorways and materials. Designed with a timeless approach and exceptional quality to be passed down for generations, the collection plays with the poetic duality of opposing elements in color, material, and form.
Each design begins by hand and undergoes an exclusive process originating a technical achievement — a new shade of gold never before seen: the world’s first permanent 18k Black Gold.
INNOVATION
Our exclusive process is not a traditional plating — we transform the surface of gold on the molecular level for lasting pigmentation and added durability. The gold is vaporized through a classified multi-step formula using environmentally friendly methods.
Although all fine jewelry should be handled with care, our gold is more resistant to scratches than standard 18k gold, is hypoallergenic, has excellent resistance to corrosion caused by chemicals or natural oils, and is safe to wear in water.

SUSTAINABILITY
Reut is dedicated to creating and maintaining practices of sustainability. We use recycled gold as an alternative to newly-mined gold, as gold is a natural resource that maintains its level of purity throughout its lifecycle and can be ecologically repurposed.
We proudly and consciously craft in New York City in a made-to-order model, so each piece is created specifically for each order and avoids overproduction. Localizing our production also allows us to ensure our artisans sustain living wages and safe conditions, while also investing into our local economy and community.
While traditional platings in the jewelry industry create liquid byproduct, our proprietary method incorporates zero-waste technologies. Thus, our exclusive Black Gold is a sustainable alternative to rhodium plating, the current standard for darkening metals.
